iPhone 12 Training
for Telstra Staff
The Brief
We were tasked to create a method of training or education for the Telstra frontline staff that filled them on, not just the new iPhone 12 features but the Telstra network benefits as well.
The Challenge
The challenges were many.
Firsly Apple charteristicly tight lipped about the features of the iPhone 12 so a lot of digging and research was done to make sure we weren’t putting in things that were misleading.
Secondly, the Telstra wanted their features to be a well remembered as the iPhone.
Lastly, the frontline staff have learning fatigue. They have be excited and rememeber all the new products in the store, of which there are many.
Strategic Insight
Most of the staff we’re trying to train are young and have many other things competing for their attention.
So why don’t we something that they’ll find entertaining, pique their competitive streak and get it done as quick as possible.
The Solution
We solved all of these by creating a timed assembly game.
The staff were invited to piece the iPhone 12 together using the phone by tilting to find the pieces and dragging them into the matching shape.
The top times were awarded gold trophies, the second silver and the third bronze. All were invited to compete again to try to beat their time or just share their results on the Telstra internal Yammer.
