Spirit of ANZAC
Centenary Experience

The Brief

To commemorate, educate and involve communities across the country in Australia’s involvement in the First World War over 100 years ago.

The Challenge

The story of Australia’s involvement in the First World War is long and complex, but also an important part of this nation’s history. It was important to share this story with as many people as possible (young and old) around the country, and ensure the story was communicated in an immersive, engaging and respectful manner.

Strategic Insight

Imagination felt the best way to connect people from today with people from the past was to create an experience that would stir an emotional response. We needed to show that those who lived and died in the First World War were people just like us today – the same hopes and dreams, thoughts and feelings.

The Solution

The Spirit of Anzac Centenary Experience was designed to be a fully immersive journey, taking visitors back in time to just before the outbreak of the First World War. Built as a highly detailed two-year travelling exhibition, it was able to visit major hubs cross the country to ensure as many Australians as possible would have the opportunity to visit.
